Cattle breeding records for 8 months of 2017 discussed in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan

Today a session took place in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, where the records of cattle breeding for 8 months of 2017 were discussed. The session was held by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Nazip Khazipov.

Directors, consultants on cattle breeding of local directorates for agriculture, specialists of “Chief State Agricultural Directorate for Pedigree Animal Breeding of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan”, heads and specialists of republican households took part in the session.

Nazip Khazipov reported on the records of cattle breeding in Tatarstan. He stated that as of September 1, 2017, the population of livestock in Tatarstan agricultural enterprises was 746,000 animals, including 245,900 cows. 870,400 tons of milk (105% compared with the previous year level), 253,400 tons of meat and poultry (102%) were produced.

According to the minister’s words, the livestock population has increased in Zainsk, Sarmanovo, Novosheshminsk, Baltasi, Kukmor, Saby and some other municipal districts of the republic in comparison with the previous year level. The biggest gain in milk production is in Zainsk, Atnya, Kukmor, Alkeevo, Rybnaya Sloboda and Tyulyachi municipal districts. Milk production has decreased in Menzelinsk, Kamskoye Ustye, Arsk, Tukaevo and Apastovo municipal districts.

Nazip Khazipov also paid attention to the issues of cattle wintering, forage quality and informed the participants of the session about the forthcoming distance horse races.

After that, the head of “The chief state agricultural directorate for pedigree animal breeding of the ministry of agriculture and food the republic of Tatarstan” Rishat Zaripov reported on the records in pedigree cattle breeding.
