A session on development of agro-tourism in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republicof Tatarstan

A session devoted to the development of agro-tourism in the republic took place in the Place of Agriculturalists today. Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Oleg Zemskov, Chairman of the State Tourism Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan Sergey Ivanov, Deputy Chairman of the State Tourism Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan Artur Abdrashitov, Assistant Secretary Ilya Spiridonov, heads of departments Els Burganov, Ildar Gafurov, Rishat Bulatov, a farmer from Vysokaya Gora municipal district Gabdulakhmat Kutdusov, etc. participated in the session.

Within the framework of the session, the ways to attract tourists into rural settlements were discussed, which will enable them to experience rural life.

Special attention was paid to the village of Yamashurma in Vasokaya Gora municipal district. 7,000 tourists visit it every year, that is why it is planned to develop a cluster of rural tourism there.

There are 6 tourist routes in the village of Yamashurma: family dairy farms, the national ornament workshop “At Rishat’s”, the spring, the village community center, the quack’s shop and the workshop of national headwear. The excursion lasts 3 hours.

At the end of the session, the participants discussed the plans for the nearest future and the measures to be taken for development of agro-tourism.
