Purchase prices for milk

On January 18, 2018, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Djambulat Khautov held a videoconferencing session with constituent entities of the Volga Federal District concerning development of foodstuff and processing industries and the existing problems of producers and processers.

Deputy Minister Rishat Khabipov, Chief of the Department of Foodstuff Market Development Renat Suleimanov, heads and specialists of AIC enterprises, specialists of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan took part in the session.

The key issue was the one concerning purchase prices for milk. It was noted that in 20 constituent entities of the Russian Federation they were reduced. The biggest reduce is in the Republic of Tatarstan – that is about 5 rubles per kg. deputy Minister Rishat Khabipov reported that the President of the Republic of Tatarstan ordered to check the explicability of low purchase prices for milk.

Within the framework of the session, Gjambulat Khautov encharged the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan with a task to take measures to raise purchase prices for milk and make them close to the average purchase prices in Russia – those of 25 rubles per kg and higher.
