22 May 2019, Wednesday

On May 22, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan jointly with the administration of the Laishevsky district and JSC Tatagrolizing organized an event aimed at getting to know the basics of crop production in Tatarstan. Pupils of the 9th and 11th grades of the Narmon Secondary School joined the media representatives.

What is remarkable, the guys from different classes came to the excursion, namely those who wanted to see how the work is going on in the fields, talk with experts and agronomists. What caused such a keen interest of children in agriculture? First of all, many of them work in an agricultural firm. And, secondly, the school in which they study is agrotechnological. “High school students have the opportunity to simultaneously get the working skills. So, literally in a few days, the guys at the graduation ceremony will be given certificates of tractor drivers-machinists, ”says school principal Roza Solyagina. In addition, students wishing to spend the summer holidays with benefit, with the permission of their parents, can work in an agrofirm and receive quite a decent salary.

As part of the press tour, the schoolchildren, together with journalists, visited the fields of the agricultural company Narmonka, where cabbage is in full swing, and were able to see the process of planting seedlings in the open ground. Guests were met by the Head of the Laishevsky District Mikhail Afanasyev. He spoke about the opportunities created in the area to work in the field of agriculture. “It's the suburban area. It’s not a secret that Kazan attracts young children with its opportunities and prospects, ”Mikhail Afanasyev noted,“ therefore it is necessary to conduct the most serious work on securing young specialists in the village. ” He presented to the children a young specialist-agronomist who came to work in the village after graduating from the Agrarian University. During the year, him and his wife, working as a veterinarian, were provided with housing.

The next route point was the experimental field of the Agrarian University, where students can use their knowledge in practice on their own plots: plant crops, conduct experiments, study in practice the influence of various factors, such as temperature, rainfall, fertilization, etc. on the yield of various crops. University professors note that each plot is a part of someone's diplome project.

During the event, students talked with representatives of the agrofirm, agronomists, and the most courageous were able to ask questions the Head of the district. It should be noted that the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan pays special attention to holding such events aimed at professional orientation of pupils of graduating classes. It is important not only to consolidate young specialists in the village, but also to help the children, who are faced with the choice of their future profession, to make a conscious and thoughtful choice.
