Marat Akhmetov met with the delegation of the Bukhara region of the Republic of Uzbekistan

On July 8, the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov met with a delegation of the Bukhara region of the Republic of Uzbekistan led by the deputy hokim of the Bukhara region of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sanathillo Hikmatov.

Deputy Ministers of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Nazip Hazipov and Rishat Khabipov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Hermann Lerner, General Director of RATSIN JSC Askhat Sharapov and other interested persons also took part in the meeting.

The meeting was opened by the head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov. “We are very glad to see you here in Tatarstan”. The Minister said that Tatarstan pays special attention to innovative ways of developing the agro-industrial complex. “Over the past 15 years we have gone through a very significant path of modernization,” Marat Akhmetov informed, “but there is still potential for growth in the republic. We are open to attracting investments. ”

Representing the delegation Sanatillo Hikmatov noted that Russia and Uzbekistan have always been strategically important and reliable partners. The trade turnover between the countries reached $ 6 billion in 2018, and reached $ 146 million with Tatarstan. Uzbekistan is focused on increasing trade and is ready to cooperate with Tatarstan in such areas as the production of dairy, wine and poultry products.

In addition, a large-scale greenhouse construction project is being implemented in the Bukhara region of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in terms of which about 1,000 hectares of greenhouses for growing vegetables were built over the year. Therefore, the Uzbek side is ready to consider export areas of cooperation, as well as invest in the construction of a wholesale distribution center in Tatarstan.

The meeting participants also exchanged experiences in the field of animal husbandry. The Uzbek side has shown a keen interest in programs of state support of the industry in Tatarstan, and plans to attentively study them for possible implementation in their republic.
