Since the beginning of the year, pork production in Tatarstan has increased by 6%

In Tatarstan, since the beginning of the year, there has been an increase in pork production. “In January-October of this year, 76 thousand 132 tons of pork were produced in agricultural organizations and farms. This amounts to 106% to the level of the corresponding period of the last year, ”said Irek Gibadullin, deputy head of the department for the development of livestock industries of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan.

According to the expert, most of the pork was produced in the Tukaevsky municipal district - 46 thousand 608 tons (or 61.2% of the total production of these products in the republic). The second place is taken by Buinsky district with 14 thousand 328 tons, and the third place is taken by Sabinsky district with 7 thousand 271 tons.

“The share of these three municipalities is 89.6% of meat produced by agricultural enterprises and farmers of the republic for ten months of this year,” Irek Gibadullin specified.

At the same time, an increase in the number of pigs is observed in the republic. As of November 1, in agricultural enterprises and peasant farms, there are 451.1 thousand heads of pigs, which is 104% compared to the same date a year earlier, as the representative of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan noted.

In the whole country, according to the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia for ten months of 2019, agricultural organizations produced 3.55 million tons of pork (in live weight). This is 215.9 thousand tons, or 6.5%, higher than for the same period last year. The export to foreign markets also increased: in January-October, Russia exported (taking into account the EAEU countries) 76.6 thousand tons of pork, which exceeds the figure for the same period last year by 8.1 thousand tons.

Earlier it was reported that in the agricultural enterprises of the republic for ten months of this year 1 million 135.8 thousand tons of milk and 332.4 thousand tons of meat were produced. Compared with the figures for the same period last year, 4% more milk was produced, 3% cattle and poultry meat .
