News from the districts: Vysokogorsky district agrarians share how they reach large cattle yields
On the dairy farm of the Asyan agricultural enterprise of the Vysokogorsky district, a seminar-meeting on the theme “Feeding diets and living conditions for winter cattle maintenance” was held.
It was not by chance that representatives of agricultural enterprises of the region gathered at the Asyan livestock complex. Only professionals work here. The assembled farmers walked around the farm and saw how the company’s work on milk production and cow conditions was adjusted.
The seminar participants examined the feeding technologies, diets, the use of energy-saturated high-protein feed additives, the balance of the diet for protein and energy, the use of meal, cake and corn, as well as veterinary and sanitary measures, colostrum drinking schemes for newborn calves (colostrum supplies).
Head of the Agriculture Department of the Vysokogorsky District Rakhimzyan Karimov noted that “Asyan” is the most advanced enterprise in the region. To date, the yield per cow at the farm is 9 thousand liters. Such high results were achieved through the use of advanced technologies. The feed ration of cattle in “Asyani” is made up of feeds of own production.
Here, barley, wheat and corn are successfully grown. Part of the main feed is purchased in large quantities. The diversity of the menu has a beneficial effect on milk yield. The combination of these factors allows the Asyan milk-commodity farm to be an example for other farms in the region.
