12 August 2017, Saturday

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov reported on the harvesting campaign in Tatarstan at a republican session in the Hiuse of Government of the Republic of Tatarstan today.

The President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov held the videoconferencing session with all municipal districts.

1st Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Nigmatullin also took part in the session.

Marat Akhmetov noted that agricultural crops had been harvested on 156,000 ha of fields  which was 11% of the plan. Farmers have received over 595,000 tons of grain. The average crop yield is 38 dt/ha in the republic.

The leading municipal districts in harvesting are Zainsk (21% of crops have been harvested), Nurlat (20%), Apastovo (20%). Good results have been shown in Aksubaevo, Aznakaevo, Kaibitsy and Almetyevsk municipal districts.

The workforce productivity differs greatly in municipal districts. Thus, within the latest 2 days in Apastovo municipal district crops have been harvested on 6.9% of fields, in Chistopol – on 6%, Aznakaevo – 5.9%, Rybnaya Sloboda – 5.6%, Nurlat – 5.3%, Zainsk – 5.2%, Leninogorsk – 5.2%, Bavly – 2.4%, Elabuga – 2.8%, Kamskoe Ustye – 3.4%, Cheremshan – 3.7%.

“Grains and rape must be harvested from 1.6 million ha of fields in total. Spring wheat (which occupies 410,000 ha of fields) and a part of lands with rape will be thrashed in September. It means that we need to harvest cereal crops from 1 million ha of fields in August in order not to face the dead-ripe stage. To fulfill the task we have to harvest crops from about 50,000 ha of fields every day, which is over 3% of harvested areas for every district and farm household”, - said the minister.

To be able to fulfill the task the minister divided all the districts into 3 groups. Farmers of each group have to harvest from 2,500 tons to 6,000 tons of cereal crops every day depending on the size of the grain area and the crop yield.

Marat Akhmetov noted that forage making also kept6 going on in the republic. As of today, 1.4 million tons of forage have been preserved already, which is 23.6 dt per animal.

The minister also informed that according to the decree of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan 200 best combine operators of the republic would receive a reward amounted to 100,000 rubles. To be objective, all harvesting machinery is divided into 4 groups depending on its production capability. As of today, leaders in the contest are Rinat Mustafin from Aksubaevo municipal district, Yuriy Petrov from Kaibitsy municipal district, Sergey Karpukhin and Vladimir Chernov from Nurlat municipal districts.

Rustam Minnikhanov noted that this year farmers started threshing cereal crops behind time. The delay happened due to unfavourable weather conditions. Despite this fact, agriculturalists should do all the best to finish harvesting with minimum losses, stated the President.

“We are 20 days in arrears. That is why the bulk of harvesting is to be finished in August. In every district there should be headquarters. Special incentives should be also developed to reward leaders with money. In our turn, we will monitor the daily grain yield and the workforce productivity”, - said Rustam Minnikhanov.
