Marat Akhmetov met with the Turkish delegation

Today, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov met with the Turkish delegation led by the Chairman of the Turkish Association of Flour and Bakery Products, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Association of Exporters of Grain, Bean, Oilseeds and Products Turgai Yunlu.

The meeting was also attended by Askhat Sharapov, General Director of RATSIN JSC, Azat Ziganshin, General Director of Tatagrolizing JSC, and other interested parties.

The meeting was opened by the head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov. “We are very glad to see you here in Tatarstan,” he noted. The Minister said that Tatarstan pays special attention to innovative ways of developing the agro-industrial complex. “Over the past 15 years we have gone through a very significant way of modernization,” Marat Akhmetov informed, “but there is still potential for growth in the republic. We are ready to consider projects for processing and exporting grain. ”

Representing the Turkish delegation, Turgai Yunlu noted that he was considering the possibility of building an elevator and a logistics terminal in Tatarstan for exporting products.

In continuation of the conversation, Marat Akhmetov noted that the Republic of Tatarstan produces about 5 million tons of grain per year. “The internal demand of the republic, taking into account developed animal husbandry, is 3.5 million tons. The remaining volumes are a commodity for export. At the same time, it is necessary to take into account that Tatarstan is included in the zone of risky farming, the yield depends on weather conditions, ”the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan summarized. Marat Akhmetov also demonstrated promising areas of the republic from the point of view of logistics and peculiarities of agricultural production.

The meeting participants discussed opportunities for further cooperation. During the visit on July 5, the delegation will visit the city of Nurlat and Chistopol to get acquainted with the peculiarities of the device elevators on the water and railway tracks.
