News from the Fields: In the Cheremshansky District they have begun to prepare fodder

In the fields of Tatarstan the Cheremshansky District has begun the forage harvesting, 782 hectares of perennial grasses have already been mowed and 500 tons of hay have been harvested. On June 13, a seminar-meeting on feed preparation was held in Cheremshansky district.

The meeting was attended by the head of the Agriculture Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Mirzagit Gatin, the head of the Russian Agricultural Center, Fanil Shaikhutdinov, as well as heads and specialists of farms.

Mirzagit Gatin inspected the equipment involved in the harvesting of hay, and talked with experts. He noted that there are 5.2 thousand hectares of perennial grasses in the area, it is necessary to harvest more than 5 thousand tons of hay, 28.8 thousand tons of haylage and 49 thousand tons of silage for the winter.

The head of the district Department of Agriculture and Food stressed that it is necessary to mobilize the existing reserves and in the shortest possible time remove all areas of perennial grasses.

The deputy director of Akkireyevo LLC, Ilnaz Gilmutdinov, said that the farm should prepare 211 tons of hay and expressed confidence that the tasks for forage preparation would be completed on time.
