Ensuring fire safety at agricultural facilities is under special control of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan

The issue of agricultural waste and compliance with fire safety is under special control. Last year, the damage from fires and agricultural waste on the territory of the Russian Federation exceeded 1 billion rubles. To date, it is planned to fix the termination of state support to the owners of agricultural land plots who violate the requirements of fire safety.

In this regard, agricultural producers need to ensure:

- preventing the clearing of fields by burning out crop residues and vegetation,

- conducting briefings with employees of the industry, explanatory work on fire safety measures and actions in case of fire,

- creation of mineralized strips,

- the presence of equipment that can quickly create lanes preventing the spread of fire, and water-carrying equipment, as well as containers filled with water,

- bringing timely technical inspection of equipment in order to prevent leakage of fuel and lubricants.

One of the criteria for non-compliance with fire safety is the presence of weeds on agricultural land.

Because of bollards, bio-productivity of agricultural land decreases significantly, and the species composition of grasses changes and becomes impoverished. Grass bollards lead to a noticeable decrease in soil fertility. They can also lead to wildfires.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan recalls that from April 6, 2021, the Government of the Russian Federation Decree No. 550 amended the state program for the development of agriculture and regulation of markets for agricultural products, raw materials and food.
