Rustam Minnikhanov: "We will continue to support our agricultural enterprises, farmers and personal subsidiary plots"

20 October 2022, Thursday

President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov addressed the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2023 with a Message today.

“One of the most important sectors of the republic's economy is the agro-industrial complex.

This year we have harvested a decent grain crop - more than 5 million tons. The expected gross harvest of sugar beets will be 1.8 million tons, oilseeds - 600 thousand tons, potatoes - 800 thousand tons, vegetables - 260 thousand tons.

Tatarstan is fully provided with the main types of products and has the ability to supply significant volumes outside the republic. I want to express my gratitude to the villagers for their important and difficult work! Thank you very much!

Our agrarians face serious tasks to maintain the achieved indicators and increase the efficiency of agricultural production, including by improving soil fertility, as well as developing the reclamation complex.

The Republic is a livestock region. We have the largest number of cattle in the country.

However, a number of municipalities are experiencing farm closures and a large reduction in livestock.

I ask the heads, together with investors, to ensure the preservation of jobs and keeping the planned indicator of the number of cattle at the level of the beginning of this year.

It is important to strengthen our leading positions in the production of livestock products: for milk, the task is to reach the figure of 2 million tons, for meat - 550 thousand tons.

Separate words of gratitude to our leaders. For the first time in history, the workers of the Kukmorsky district have crossed the bar of 400 tons of gross milk yield per day! Atninsky, Baltasinsky, Sabinsky districts produce more than 300 tons of milk per day! This made it possible to create a broodstock with a high genetic potential in dairy production in the republic.

In general, in the livestock sector, it is necessary to continue work on the modernization of farms with the introduction of modern technologies, the construction of feed centers. To date, 35 such centers have been put into operation in 18 municipalities.

Feeding centers should locate in every district. They provide agricultural firms and private farms with high-quality feed. This work was built in Kukmorsky, Sabinsky, Atninsky, Mamadyshsky, Baltasinsky, Tyulyachinsky and Tetyushsky districts.

It is necessary to build a systematic work on the processing of agricultural raw materials. A successful example here is milk processing: 5 years ago, enterprises of the republic processed only 50% of the milk produced in the region, today this figure is 91%.

To support small businesses, we annually allocate 2 billion rubles. This is about 20 different measures. The most systematic work with the population is built in the Baltasinsky district, where almost every family keeps cows, in Atninsky, Drozhzhanovsky, Spassky districts - every second family.

We will continue to support our agricultural enterprises, farmers and personal subsidiary plots.

Today we invited farmers, who make their important contribution to the development of agriculture in the republic. These are Renat Khanov from the Tukaevsky district, Ilyas Suleymanov from the Aksubaevsky district, Rais Agliev from the Mendeleevsky district, Azat Davletshin from the Baltasinsky district, Elena Nigmatzyanova from the Laishevsky district, Alfred Khairullin from the Drozhzhanovsky district. I'll ask the farmers to stand up. Thank you very much!

Agricultural fairs are organized every year in the cities. The villagers bring us quality products at affordable prices. For this, on behalf of the residents of the city, I express my deep gratitude. It is important to continue this work.

Gardening and horticulture is an area of special social significance. More than a million Tatarstan residents have rest and work in their gardens and household plots. For citizens, this is not only a vacation, but also an opportunity to provide themselves with environmentally friendly products.

Since 2017 we have been supporting our garden societies. More than 3.5 billion rubles have already been allocated for these purposes, which are aimed at providing garden communities with water, access roads, electricity, and garbage disposal. These programs will be continued next year,” the President noted.
