Today in the agro-industrial park "Kazan" the opening of the exhibition of halal products Russia Halal market took place.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan took an active part in the organization and preparation of the agricultural park.
“More than 400 outlets with certified halal products are presented at the fair, as well as foreign companies. For us, this is a big growth point. We are interested in our products being sold to other countries,” added Marat Zyabbarov.

The exhibition was organized within the framework of the XIV International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum". This year the forum will be held in a federal format for the first time.

Rustam Minnikhanov noted that over 20 million Muslims live in Russia today. The halal industry is actively developing in almost all sectors of the economy: the production of food products and industrial products, medicine, tourism, education, finance and investment.

Rais of the republic noted that only in Tatarstan there are more than 100 manufacturers of food products according to the halal standard. These goods are actively exported to countries near and far abroad.

“One of the key tools to popularize this area is the annual KazanForum and the Russia Halal Expo exhibition in the republic. They allow industry participants from all over the world to establish and successfully develop trade and economic ties,” said Rustam Minnikhanov.

He stressed that in order to increase the availability of products for consumers, this year it was decided to open a fair for the first time on the territory of the Kazan agro-industrial park. “I think this is a very good decision. Here, participants will be able to demonstrate and sell meat, dairy and vegetable products produced according to Halal standards, confectionery, as well as clothes and souvenirs. It is gratifying that in addition to local manufacturers, our foreign partners are also represented,” Rustam Minnikhanov added and wished the participants of the fair successful work.

The Deputy General Director of the Department of Islamic Development of Malaysia highly appreciated the potential of the halal industry in Russia and, in particular, in Tatarstan. “We will be happy to share our experience in this area, and we hope that this will benefit the development of halal in Russia,” said Sirajuddin Sukhaimi.

Russia Halal market is an international fair of the halal industry, where 100 largest manufacturers became participants. The fair is attended by Tatarstan producers, as well as guests from Iran, Senegal and Turkey. The exhibition will run until May 21st.
