17 April 2024, Wednesday

Today, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan paid a working visit to the Bavlinsky municipal district, where he held a zonal seminar-meeting on the topic “Increasing the efficiency of livestock production through the introduction of digitalization and modern technologies.”

Gelyus Bayazitov noted that livestock farming in the Republic of Tatarstan remains a priority sector of agriculture. In terms of the level of development of this industry, our republic occupies a leading position both in the Volga region and in the Russian Federation as a whole.

Next, he summed up the results of the three months of this year. 433 thousand tons of milk were produced, with an increase of 8% compared to last year. In the ranking of regions in terms of milk production volumes, the republic is in 1st place. The average daily milk yield per cow is 22.5 kg.

As of April 1, the number of cattle, poultry, sheep and goats decreased compared to last year. At the same time, we have positive dynamics in the number of pigs and horses, an increase of 1%.

In terms of the number of cows, most districts are operating at the same level or with an increase in the milking herd compared to last year.

Every year the demand for sheep and horse breeding products increases. To stimulate the development of farms, starting this year, changes have been made to the Agrostartup grant support program for beginning farmers. “These 2 areas are now priorities, points are awarded as in dairy farming. Now the resolution is being approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, the selection will be announced at the end of April. I ask you to involve farmers in this program as much as possible,” noted Gelyus Bayazitov.

On the territory of the Tukaevsky, Nizhnekamsky and Aktanysh municipal districts, the largest poultry meat producer in the Republic, Chelny-Broiler, conducts its production activities, on whose production activities the production indicators of the republic largely depend.

“Due to the problems with bird flu in many regions and republics, the poultry industry is under special control of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation,” he emphasized.

One of the important tools for the further development of the livestock industry is the introduction of lean production, which will improve the efficiency of the enterprise without any additional large investments.

At the end of the seminar, Geyus Bayazitov invited to take part in the competition of Cheesemakers of the Republic of Tatarstan, which will be held at the International Agro-Industrial Exhibition “Agrovolga-2024” from July 3 to 5 of this year, and leaders in livestock breeding were also awarded.
